ISSofBC’s Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills (ALES) in the Workplace was honoured with the ALES Outstanding Site Award for creating opportunities for newcomers to fulfill their career goals while helping employers hire and retain highly skilled and motivated employees.

Top Settlement Agency in Canada
ISSofBC has been named the Top Settlement Agency in Canada in 2018 by RBC (Royal Bank) and the Canadian Immigrant magazine. The Top Settlement Agency in Canada award celebrates the contributions, dedication and hard work of agencies in helping immigrants settle and succeed in Canada.

2017 Premier’s Innovation and Excellence Award
ISSofBC was honoured to share the 2017 Premier’s Innovation and Excellence Award with the BC Ministry of Jobs, Trade and Technology for the role as an essential partner in the Refugee Readiness Fund Initiative.
AMSSA Riasat Ali Khan Diversity Award
ISSofBC Welcome Centre was selected by AMSSA (Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of BC) to receive the Riasat Ali Khan Diversity Award. The award recognizes an AMSSA member organization for innovative programming that supports diversity and promotes integration.
Coquitlam Crunch Diversity Grant
The grant was awarded to ISSofBC for the support of diversity initiatives that promote inclusion in the Tri-cities area. Grant funds are raised by fitness enthusiasts participating in the workout trail of the Coquitlam Crunch.
2017 YWCA Women of Distinction Award
Patricia Woroch, CEO of ISSofBC, received the 2017 YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Non-Profit category for propelling change through her leadership, professionalism and vision within the non-profit sector and for making a significant and sustained difference in Metro Vancouver.
City of Vancouver Mayor’s Achievement Award
ISSofBC received the Mayor’s Achievement Award for the remarkable dedication to improving the quality of life for the citizens of Vancouver.
2015
International Talent Acquisition Centre (In-TAC) Strategic Partner Award
ISSofBC was recognized for the successful partnership with In-TAC in making a positive contribution to the employment and integration of internationally educated professionals across Canada.
Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC) Leadership Recognition Award
ISSofBC received the Immigrant Serving Organization Leadership award as a founding service provider and the first to connect clients with IEC-BC’s mentoring program called MentorConnect.
2014
Best Workplaces Canada
ISSofBC was recognized as one of 2014’s Best Workplaces in Canada, joining 49 other companies nationwide that made it to the list in the medium company size category.
This was ISSofBC’s seventh such award, and the fifth in a row since 2010. The first two awards were received in 2007 and 2009.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s IQN Award
Mentorship in Action, a national internship project ISSofBC is involved in as the Vancouver delivery partner, received Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC) prestigious IQN Award in the Workplace Integration category.
