This program supports you in continuing your career by connecting your international experience with job opportunities in BC.
We work with regulated professions, requiring an educational certificate and experience, and unregulated professions, not requiring a licence.

Eligibility Requirements: Who can join?
- Permanent resident within the past 10 years or a protected person.
- Hold at least one year of pre-arrival experience in construction, engineering or regulated occupations. For unregulated occupations, you need two years of pre-arrival experience (only one year is required if aged 19-30).
- A minimum CLB 5 for unregulated professions, or CLB 6 for regulated professions, as well as for construction, engineering, and IT (learn more here)
- Currently underemployed or unemployed.

Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants supports you in using your pre-arrival qualifications and experience to find a job in BC, including:
- Qualification evaluation and obtaining BC licenses.
- Regulatory body and association memberships.
- Skills and course funding.
- Job search, readiness coaching and support.
- Connections to BC employers.
- Access to BC mentors.
You can join if you are a permanent resident within the last 10 years or a protected person; has at least one (1) year of pre-arrival experience in the fields of Construction, Engineering and Technology or one (1) year of pre-arrival experience in regulated occupations, and two (2) years of pre-arrival experience in unregulated occupations (one year if you are 19-30 years of age), and are underemployed or unemployed.
You also need to have a minimum level of English, CLB 5 for unregulated professions and CLB 6 for regulated professions, as well as for construction, engineering, and IT.
