Are you a skilled immigrant looking to return to your pre-arrival profession?

This is your opportunity to learn how Career Paths can assist you with returning to your pre-arrival profession.
Our program can assist you with:

  • Credential evaluations and obtaining BC licenses
  • Regulatory body and association memberships
  • Skills and course funding

  • Job search support
  • Work placement opportunities – Connections to BC employers
  • Access to BC Mentors

Eligibility

  • Permanent resident within the last 10 years OR Protected Persons;
  • One (1) year of pre-arrival experience in the fields of Construction, Engineering and Technology (learn more here);
  • One (1) year of pre-arrival experience in regulated occupations – (learn more here), and two (2) years of pre-arrival experience in unregulated occupations (one year if you are 19-30 years of age) – (learn more here);

  • Minimum CLB 5 for unregulated professions; Minimum CLB 6 for regulated professions and for Construction & Engineering and IT (learn more here);
  • Underemployed or unemployed;

Attend an online info session. Info sessions are offered every Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. From July 3rd to Sep 11th, 2024, you can also attend an in-person drop-in info session at the ISSofBC New Westminster office (280 Second Floor-610 6th St, New Westminster, BC V3L 3C2) weekly on Wednesdays from 12 PM to 1:00 PM PST.
