Eligibility
- Peer Support Group Criteria:
- Immigrant and refugee women 19 year of age and up
- Peer Support Group Criteria: Immigrant and refugee women 19 year of age and up
- Training Criteria: Immigrant and refugee women aged 24 and up with minimum CLB 5
- Training Criteria:
- Candidates must have an immigrant and/or refugee background and a strong desire to give back to their communities by assisting other immigrant and refugee women with the adjustment process
- Training Criteria: Successful candidates must make a strong commitment to training and the facilitation of peer support groups

Activities
Peer Support Group:
- 10-weeks long in your first language
- be welcomed in a safe and confidential space
- receive support for your settlement challenges
- learn more about Canadian culture
- build connections with resources in the community
- share experiences and discuss common concerns
Peer Group Facilitation Training:
- 100+ hours delivered over 14 weeks and taught by experts from various fields
- Teaches skills to become community leaders and role-models
- Graduates of the training go on to facilitate a 10-week support group with the assistance of ISSofBC staff
