Job Options Trade Talk

Over 40 companies and job search experts shared their career and industry knowledge during the Job Options BC Career Talk in Metrotown on September 24.

“Hats off to our [ISSofBC] Employment Resource Specialists team and their efforts. It was another successful event and participants not only received useful information but they also enjoyed it,” said Rahila Ansari ISSofBC Employment Counsellor/Facilitator.

Guest speakers included representatives from Loblaw, Compass Group, PCL Construction, Dress for Success and Go2HR from Vancouver, Surrey and Port Coquitlam.

In addition to a successful networking session, speakers shared information on positions available, application procedures and the demand for workers in hospitality and tourism industry.

Esther Jung, ISSofBC Employer Relations Specialist said participants received great feedback and suggestions on resume presentation especially during the networking session.

“It is likely that these activities will be included in the next trade talk event in November,” she said.
