ISSofBC recently hosted a study mission from China for a CIDA-funded project to draw on Canadian experience in “One-Stop Shop” service delivery to support the burgeoning population of rural migrant workers in China’s urban centres.

Officials from China’s National Development and Reform Commission and the project team spent two and a half days in late October learning about ISSofBC’s integrated service delivery operations through presentations and guided tours in the different divisions.

ISSofBC’s CEO Patricia Woroch is part of the Canadian project team, led by the AMEC Environment and Infrastructure group that’s been working with the Chinese experts since last year to facilitate knowledge transfer and policy reform options.
