Our expert team of tech industry leaders and partners are engaged from start to finish in Youth in Tech. They provide hands-on learning opportunities giving you the digital skills and confidence to launch your career.
Eligibility
- An immigrant or refugee youth ages 17 to 29
- Unemployed or not in stable employment
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person legally entitled to work in Canada
- Not a full-time student
- Not participating in another provincially or federally funded labour market program
- CLB level 6 or higher
- Computer literate with intermediate skills
- Living in Metro Vancouver
- Strong motivation to obtain training and employment in the Tech sector

- Language and skills assessment to develop your personalized action plan
- ‘Core’ group-based workshops on the tech sector, soft skills and job search
- ‘Elective’ courses on tech-specific language training, essential skills, critical thinking and more
- Tech tours to meet tech employers and trainers and immerse yourself in tech environments
- Technical skills training offered through training partners in web development, digital marketing/design, or information and communications technology
- Paid internships and work experience placements with our employer partners
- Supported job search to help you find employment in the tech sector
