ISSofBC would like to inform our community that the E-Connect for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW) program will officially conclude on مارس 31.

Since its launch, E-Connect has supported temporary foreign workers in British Columbia by providing information, guidance, and connections to services that guide workers to understand their rights and navigate life and work in Canada. We are grateful to everyone who participated in the program and trusted our team for support.

Where temporary foreign workers can still get support

Although the E-Connect program is ending, support resources for temporary foreign workers remain available.

Workers who need assistance, information about their rights, or help addressing workplace concerns can access official resources from the Government of Canada:
Protected rights for temporary foreign workers:

https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/foreign-workers/protected-rights.html

This resource provides information about:

  • Workplace rights and protections
  • Employer responsibilities
  • How to report abuse or unsafe conditions
  • How to get help and support

Our commitment

At ISSofBC, we remain committed to supporting newcomers and workers in our communities. While E-Connect is ending, many of our other career services programs may be suitable for your needs. To explore other services offered by ISSofBC Career Services, please visit the the Find Work page.

With gratitude to the E-Connect team

As the program concludes, we extend our sincere thanks to Program Senior Manager Alice Wong and Clenia Knecht, the Program Case Manager, for their commitment, expertise, and care, which have supported E-Connect clients in their journey as temporary foreign workers. The legacy of E-Connect lives on through the success of its participants and the continued work of ISSofBC in supporting newcomers across the province.
