Students who successfully graduate from a number of ISS Language and Career College of BC (LCC) programs can now bypass the English language entrance exam to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in Vancouver thanks to a partnership between ISSofBC and FDU.
LCC students who complete Intensive English 7, Academic English or LCC’s Professional Communication and Marketing program with sufficiently high grades can enter the top level of academic English in certain universities including FDU without an English proficiency TOEFL or IELTS exam.
Two LCC students recently transferred to FDU after completing their LCC programs under the new partnership.
“While I was studying, I heard about LCC’s connection with Fairleigh Dickinson University. I saw a poster about it and I heard an FDU guest speaker who came to LCC. My teachers encouraged me to apply. I am now majoring in Communication, which is a perfect fit. I can transfer at least 60 credits from my studies in Japan, and will finish my degree in less than 2 years,” said LCC graduate Akiko.
FDU is a non-profit American international university with campuses in New Jersey, Vancouver and England. It is associated with the United Nations and has NGO status with the UN’s Department of Public Information.
LCC has five articulation agreements with universities across Canada including:
Fairleigh Dickinson University (Vancouver campus)
Royal Roads University (on Vancouver Island)
MacEwan University (in Alberta)
Laurentian University (in Ontario)
UPEI (in PEI)
