A new website just for you!

We’ve been working hard to launch a new and improved website for you and other newcomers to start your new lives in BC and find the right services as quickly as possible.

Here are some of the main changes we’ve made to put you as newcomers first!:

    • Our new client-centric design based on interviews and direct feedback, your suggestions have made this our most newcomer-friendly and accessible website yet!
    • Updated program pages: Clear benefits, eligibility requirements,  Questions and Answers, and how to join.
    • The old site was slow. The new site is fast and easy!
    • Updated tools and resources: We want these pages to offer up-to-date and valuable information for you and other newcomers, so we have streamlined the options to better align with your needs.
    • New design for events calendar: We’ve simplified event categories and improved the registration process, so you can join our fantastic events faster.
    • Improved location pages: Our most visited pages, the new design clearly shows the programs and services available at each location.
    • New accessibility features: Since we serve such a diverse number of people in terms of digital skills, first language, and disabilities, we’ve worked hard to ensure that our new website has the best translation and accessibility features so that all newcomers can use the website easily.
    • Mobile optimization: As many of you access the site via your smart phones, we’ve ensured the design is optimal for small screens!

Please send us your feedback so we can continue to improve!

Please take the time to explore the different pages and features and send us your suggestions on how we can continue to improve it! You can send your suggestions to the Communications team directly: communications@issbc.org.

We may not be able to make all the changes immediately, but your insights and feedback will be invaluable in making our site the best possible for all newcomers in BC!
