Employer Appreciation Night

Saying a heartfelt “thank you” will be the focus for the ISSofBCs upcoming Employer Appreciation Night, hosted by its Career Services program.

The event will be held on the 16th of May 2023, at the ISSofBCs headquarters on Victoria Drive in Vancouver, and will be attended by an array of local employers from a multitude of sectors and industries.

“We want to acknowledge and thank all of our employer partners for their incredible support, dedication, and commitment, to both our organization and clients,” said Rasie Bamigbade, Senior Manager of Entrepreneurship Programs at the organization.

ISSofBC is one of the most established non-profit organizations in BC, celebrating its 50th-anniversary last year. It supports approximately 20,000 immigrants every year and provides settlement, language, employment, and entrepreneurship services.
The event is also an opportunity to bring local employers together under one roof, to share success stories, showcase businesses, celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion, and create new connections. There will also be opening remarks from ISSofBCs CEO, Jonathan Oldman, followed by an award ceremony.

“Our mission is helping immigrants build a future in Canada, but that would not be possible without the incredible support and dedication of our employer partners, so this is our way of saying thank you,” said Irene Lin, Assistant Manager of the Career Paths Program. “We want to acknowledge all their hard work, and I look forward to presenting the awards, which are so rightfully deserved.”
