Patricia Woroch, former CEO of ISSofBC, received the 2017 YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Non-Profit category at ceremonies held last night at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Patricia, who was among 85 nominees considered for awards in 14 categories, was recognized for propelling change through her “leadership, professionalism and vision within the non-profit sector” and for making “a significant and sustained difference in Metro Vancouver.”
“I am grateful and honoured to receive this award,” said Patricia. “To receive an award from the YWCA, an organization that has been focused on bettering women’s lives for more than 150 years, is truly humbling. For me this award also recognizes the passion and hard work that ISSofBC staff bring to their jobs that makes a lasting, positive difference in the lives of our clients and the community,” she added.
Recognized nationally as one of Canada’s prestigious awards for women, the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards honours extraordinary women leaders whose achievements contribute to the well-being and future of our communities across Metro Vancouver.
