A newcomer and volunteer, Irina shares why volunteering matters — and how community grows step by step.
A client shares thanks to volunteers who supported them during a tax appointment — a reminder that steady support can ease stress and build confidence.
Thank you, volunteers
Thank you to Irina, Hussain Nasiri, Gol Pooneh Mohammadi, Swathi Kamath, Sholeh E. Javaheri, Jiho Song, Mirta Peyro, and Mahnaz Hesami, and to all the other amazing people who took the time to volunteer and support one another across ISSofBC programs.
Whether through mentoring, practicing English with newcomers, supporting community programs, assisting office teams, contributing to tax clinics, or showing up at events, your time and care strengthen services and build connection across communities in British Columbia.
We are grateful for the commitment, generosity, and steady presence you bring.
