What we do

  • provide information about recredentialing or retraining for a specific occupation in Healthcare, Engineering, Legal, Business, IT, Education, Social Service and other professions (see full list)
  • explore career opportunities within your field or related/unrelated alternative career
  • provide access to a low interest loan for credential recognition process and/or alternative career or training activities
  • support you through the recredentialing process and job search for up to 4 years
  • provide connections to other bridging programs, resources and employer job leads

If you’re an internationally trained professional seeking to find work in Canada, you may need to complete the foreign credential recognition (FCR) process of verifying your foreign credentials to ensure they meet the standards established in Canada. You may also need to adjust your career goals to meet the new needs of the market. This may require additional training and employment support.

You can join if you:
  • are a Permanent Resident in BC, Canadian citizen or Persons granted refugee status in Canada and legally permitted to work in Canada
  • have obtained your credentials outside of Canada
  • are seeking to have your foreign credentials recognized and/or interested in an alternative career and training activities
Locations Available
  • Vancouver: in person one-on-one service or group sessions
  • Satellite offices in Surrey, Richmond, New Westminster by appointment
  • Online service: for working professionals, stay-at-home parents and people in remote locations anywhere in BC
  • Services are available across British Columbia
