If you’re a newcomer with professional experience but struggling to find work, Career Paths can help you re-align your profession to a career in BC by focusing services to your education, training and experience for Regulated occupations requiring an educational certificate and experience, and Unregulated professions not requiring license.

Eligibility

                                    
                                    A resident of Vancouver, Cariboo North regions, Surrey, Burnaby, or New Westminster

Permanent resident within last 10 years

Protected Persons

                                    
                                    One (1) year of pre-arrival experience in regulated occupations, and two (2) pre-arrival experience in unregulated occupations (one year if you are 19-30 years of age)

Minimum CLB 6 for regulated professions

Minimum CLB 5 for unregulated professions

Pre-arrival experience

Underemployed and unemployed
