Our multi-lingual staff can support you in multiple languages, including English, Farsi, Dari, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, Korean, Amharic, Arabic, Somali, Swahili, Tagalog, and Tigrigna.
We can arrange a translator for you if you need additional language support.

ISSofBC does not process any visa applications in Canada and has no control over the visa processing times. 
We are not the government. 
The national government department, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), processes all applications.

Yes, a settlement worker can guide you to the IRCC website and provide information about the sponsorship application process.
To book an appointment with a settlement work, please request an appointment by emailing: info@issbc.org

This depends on individual circumstances. 
According to IRCC, you must be physically present in Canada for 1,095 days within the five years immediately before the date you sign your application.
Your settlement worker can provide additional support, so please speak with them about your concerns.

Connecting with a CRA agent on the phone may take one to two hours.

IRCC call centres are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except on holidays. 
We would recommend you call them as soon as possible in the morning.

RAP assists Government-Assisted Refugees (GARs) with temporary accommodation, housing assistance, financial aid, and referrals to additional community services.

RAP financial assistance is provided for up to one year or until a refugee becomes self-sufficient, whichever comes first.

Yes, RAP assists Government-Assisted Refugees (GARs) to find housing by teaching newcomers about the Canadian housing market, where to search for housing and your rights as a tenant.
