ISSofBC joins call for inclusivity

ISSofBC joins several other immigrant-serving and ethno-cultural organizations in denouncing public displays of racism captured recently on social media. In a statement released by S.U.C.C.E.S.S. yesterday and supported by ISSofBC, the signatories said, “Divisive statements and behaviour have no place in Canada’s vision for an equitable and inclusive society. As we stand together to build Canada’s future, we remain guided by our values of multiculturalism, equality and openness.” Other signatories of the statement include Canadian Korean Community, Canadian Japanese Community, MOSAIC, Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society, Centre For Israel and Jewish Affairs, and Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver.
