Over 250 staff cheered for their colleagues during the ISSofBC employee service awards Wednesday afternoon at the Hilton Metrotown in Burnaby. The awards, held during the ISSofBC all staff meeting, recognized employees who have dedicated five, 10, 15 or 20 years of service to the organization.
ISSofBC CEO Patricia Woroch congratulated a total of 53 staff during the awards while their coworkers cheered and displayed name signs of support. Four employees received recognition for their 20 years of commitment each. The staff members are Brenda Horth, Lisa Herrera, Firouzeh Peyvandi and Sarah Pardis.
The meeting also included a workshop with guest speaker Kathryn Thomson who spoke about personal resiliency in the uncertain times.
Each year, ISSofBC employees hold an all staff meeting to celebrate the employee service awards, participate in a workshop and network with their 400 plus coworkers across the 14 communities the organization serves.
A special thank you goes out to all the staff who helped organize this wonderful event.
