ISSofBC has partnered with Beedie Luminaries for the Single Parent Awards, which recognizes the challenges and dreams of single parents with up to $40,000 in grants to further their post-secondary education in Canada.
Registered single-parent clients at ISSofBC who face financial adversity can apply for this award with a recommendation from their case manager.
The funds can be used towards full-time or part-time studies at any public university, college or trade school in British Columbia as well as the Native Education College.
In addition to financial support, recipients will also be given access to mentors, Stay on Track student coaches, peer support groups and career development resources as well as access to the Beedie Luminaries online community and special events.
Interested clients will need to connect with ISSofBC staff to discuss the opportunity and receive a referral code. The deadline to apply is April 22.
