ISSofBC launches resources to help newcomers overcome digital literacy barriers

In this unprecedented time of COVID-19 it is more apparent than ever how necessary digital literacy is for newcomers to access services and stay connected in their communities.

Today ISSofBC launches the Digital Literacy Curriculum Resource website to aid English language instructors and those in the Settlement field in helping newcomer clients overcome digital literacy barriers.

The resource covers a range of fully developed lessons, self-assessment tools, interactive extra practice activities and much more to build a foundation of digital literacy in all English levels. Core materials are password protected in order to ensure they are used as intended.

The Resource is made possible through SDI funding from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the hard work and contributions of a number of dedicated people at ISSofBC, consultants at University of British Columbia Learning Exchange, and LINC partner organizations Burnaby English Language Centre and Vancouver Community College.

Feel free to get in touch with us via the website contact page to request access.
