Recognizing Mental Health Crisis | By Crisis Centre of BC

Event Series (See All)

November 19 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Do you know what to do when you or someone you know is in crisis?

Join us for an informative session to learn how to recognize a mental-health crisis, explore suicide prevention, and find out when and how to reach out for support.

Session Overview:

This session with the Crisis Centre of BC will give tips on how to recognize the signs of a mental-health crisis, whether you are experiencing one yourself or concerned about someone you know. We will explore suicide prevention, how to recognize when someone may be struggling, and when and how to reach out for help. You will also learn what to expect when contacting a crisis line, how to access support through 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) and 310-6789 (BC Mental Health Support Line), and what other mental-health resources and community supports are available in British Columbia.

Come learn, ask questions, and connect with helpful resources in a safe and supportive environment. The session will be held online via MS Teams.
