Duties:

  • Under the guidance and supervision of the Manager/Youth Worker, assists Boys and Girls Club team in program delivery and care to refugee tweens (between ages 7-13)
  • Assists BGC team in monitoring client’s safety during indoor/outdoor activities
  • Provides support in setting-up and post-activity clean-up (keeping the facilities/equipment clean and properly arranged)
  • Depending on need and availability, may be asked to assist in the preparation and/or execution of youth program activities/events

Skills: 

  • Professional and respectful demeanor and ability to welcome, engage and build rapport with newly arrived young refugees and their families
  • safety conscious with high-level of attentiveness
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • ability to communicate professionally with clients, partners and staff

Languages: Arabic needed

Commitment: Twice a week for a minimum of 3 months (up to 6 months)

Dates: Tuesdays 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and Thursdays 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
