Delta Controls’ Technical Services is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team.

Technical Writer [TW] works with the product designers and developers to create and edit technical user documentation so that it can be easily understood by the reader of the document.

They will be responsible for creating, organizing, editing and maintaining technical documentation including catalog sheets, application and user guides, and technical manuals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create clear, accurate and complete technical documentation for hardware and software products.
Maintain and improve existing documentation.
Communicate regularly with the product technical experts to collect relevant information for new and existing product features.
Write, format, copy edit, and proofread documents while adhering to company terminology, editorial and style standards.
Closely track document changes and regularly communicate status to the team.
Test procedures for the hardware or software product to ensure accurate content.
Drive documentation planning with development teams and manage documentation release schedules.
Main skills required:
Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience with an HTML-based help authoring tool like MadCap Flare with version control.
Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Highly committed to information accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Experience required:
3-5 years of technical writing experience.
Experience developing support documentation for hardware products.
Experience developing, maintaining, and managing help projects for desktop or web-based applications.
Years of relevant experience required:3 yearsEducation required (other): Diploma or degree in technical communication, or equivalent work and education
