Role:
In this role you will use your current abilities to recruit new advisors that will be associated with your financial centre. Daily active networking and community involvement will enable you to attract and select top talent for your team. Effective use of recruiting and selection tools will ensure the appointment of quality candidates. While advisors are independent contractors, you will assist new advisors in growing their business by conducting regular joint fieldwork, providing exceptional support and ensuring they have the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to provide outstanding customer service. As you grow as a Sales Manager you will actively enhance your advisors’ productivity through skills development and coaching using the Sun Life Financial system.

Location:
Financial Centre 111 Burnaby is part of the Western Region and located in the community of Burnaby, BC. The team consists of 41 advisors, 4 managers and 3 staff.

Your key accountabilities:
a. Actively recruit new talent and meet recruiting objectives
b. Demonstrate, instruct and champion the Sun Life system including the sales process and effective use of sales tools
c. Help new advisors set business objectives and coach them to achieve them
d. Conduct effective joint field work
e. Continue to develop your managerial skills
f. Ensure the use of compliant business practices by providing supervision for compliance in your financial centre, educating yourself and others on the team regarding regulatory requirements and communicating your expectations that compliance is non-negotiable

iii. organizational and time management skills
