Our plastics processing plant on Annacis Island is looking for a plant member to operate machinery, which includes feeding material into machines and aiding the company in achieving production targets. Training will be provided to operate a variety of machines used in the plastics industry within our process setup. In this role, you will be operating extruders and a wash line, and have an impact on our plastics recycling operations. To succeed in this role, your mentality will most likely sound like this: You love and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, as well as have strong interests in working with machines. Learning about new types of machines in the manufacturing industry is your new goal that you’ve set for yourself for the next few years.

Responsibilities and Duties include:
* Take charge of production, output and end product (pellets, PET flakes)
* Set machine parameters and initiate/maintain production cycle * Continuously monitor production process and quality level
* Maintain a safe work environment, and closely follow all safety procedures (lock-out/tag-out etc.)
* Maintain a clean work environment * Follow safety guidelines * Communicate well with fellow team members and supervisors * Light forklifting: moving materials around inside the plant from time to time
* Acting as a floater in our manufacturing plant when needed, and performing manual labour duties

What we look for in an ideal candidate: * Experience with operating production machines (for example: CNC, food processing, bindery)
* Experience with operating a forklift and working in a production/manufacturing environment
* Adhere to Health and Safety standards
* Communicate in English
* Legally entitled to work in Canada * Able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
* Mechanically and technically inclined, as these skills will help you in successfully operate/handle our main machines
* Reliable and organized
* Consistent employment history (reference check will be conducted upon conditional job offer)
