Factors to Consider When Choosing a Career

As a new immigrant to Canada, you may be unsure how to go about pursuing your profession or shifting your career. In this workshop we give an overview of the various factors that need to be considered when choosing a career. We will explore the importance of assessment of your values, interests, transferable skills and personality style. We will also talk about the role of mentoring, networking and conducting research meetings to aid you in your career decision making. To support you in your search we will provide a framework and some strategies for
career exploration.
