Over 200 staff cheered for their colleagues during the ISSofBC Employee Service Awards Wednesday afternoon at the Hilton Metrotown in Burnaby. The awards, held during the ISSofBC all staff meeting, recognizes employees who have dedicated five, 10, 15, 20 or 25 years of service to the organization.
ISSofBC CEO Patricia Woroch, Board of Directors President Jim Tallman and past Board of Directors President Manchan Sonachansingh congratulated a total of 84 staff during the awards while their coworkers cheered and displayed name signs of support. 39 employees received recognition for five years, 24 for 10 years, six for 15 years, nine for 20 years and six for 25 years of commitment to ISSofBC.
The meeting also included a presentation on neuroplasticity by Brain Guy Terry Small who provided an inside look at the how the brain works and tips on improving memory and concentration.
Each year, ISSofBC employees from across Metro Vancouver and Squamish hold an all staff meeting to celebrate the employee service awards, participate in a workshop/performance and network with their 400 plus coworkers across the communities the organization serves.
