World Refugee Day honours the spirit and courage of millions of refugees worldwide

Join us for two World Refugee Day events to raise awareness about the plight of refugees and what you can do to help.

World Refugee Day, held every year on June 20th, commemorates the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees.

The Burnaby Public Library Metrotown Branch in partnership with ISSofBC is hosting discussion of current issues for refugees along with stories from refugee speakers who have made Canada their home.

At Vancouver Public Library attendees will hear from recently arrived refugees and resettlement leaders including ISSofBC.

The event also includes information tables set up from immigrant and refugee serving organizations in Metro Vancouver.

Learn more about World Refugee Day and resources available in the Refugee Readiness Hub.
