We are nearing the home stretch in completing the exterior structure of the building. These photos taken June 10 show forming underway on the level 5 floor (4th floor ceiling) as well as views of the south wall of the north building with the outdoor playground below on the second floor.
The level 5 floor should be completed by June 22. You can clearly see the magnificent views that will grace the building under sunny skies – an added blessing for the 30-40 cement trucks that descend on the site to deliver concrete needed for each floor. So far the weather has cooperated beautifully.
Sixty workman are currently on the site working in various areas including recently removing the shoring (scaffolding) in the parkade and first floor.
Raphael Arguello (Film Producer) and I are standing on what will be the south building green roof part of our Leed Gold requirements. We still have a ways to go before the plants arrive.
Steel roofing material for the 6th floor roof has been ordered and will be installed in late July capping a milestone in our construction phase.
